Type 2 Diabetes - Diet and Gestational Diabetes

Gestational diabetes consists of abnormally high blood sugar levels during pregnancy. It can be controlled with diet, exercise and medication, but pregnancies complicated by Gestational diabetes must be managed carefully.

Investigators at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada, set out to discover whether the mother's diet during the second trimester of their pregnancy could influence whether they would suffer Gestational diabetes during their last trimester. (Pregnancies are divided up into three trimesters, equal divisions of a normal 40-week pregnancy).

The study, whose results were published in September 2012 in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, included 205 pregnant women without Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes at the start of their pregnancy. Forty-seven per cent were diagnosed with Gestational diabetes by 30 weeks of pregnancy.

Mothers diagnosed with Gestational diabetes tended to have consumed more saturated and trans fat, and more sugar than those with a healthy pregnancy. Higher vegetable and fruit fiber intake were associated with a lower risk for the condition, and higher insulin sensitivity.

From this information, it was concluded diet during their second trimesters of pregnancy influenced the patient's risk of having Gestational diabetes in their third trimesters.

The study was consistent with earlier work at Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers in Northern California, USA, and reported on in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology in February of 2010. Eleven hundred and forty-five women were included in this study, which demonstrated those who gained more than the recommended safe weight gain during pregnancy, increased their risk of Gestational diabetes by 50 per cent.

According to the Mayo Clinic, appropriate weight gain during pregnancy depends upon the mother's weight before pregnancy...
  • for an underweight woman, defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of 18.5 or less, 28 to 40 pounds is recommended.
  • a woman of normal weight, with a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9, should gain 25 to 35 pounds.
  • for a woman who is overweight, defined as having a BMI of 25.0 to 29.9, 15 to 20 pounds are adequate, and
  • women with a BMI of 30 or over need gain only 11 to 20 pounds.

Check with your doctor for the right target weight gain for you, and bear in mind most weight gain typically takes place in the last trimester. "Eating for two" does not necessitate overeating; adding 100 to 300 calories per day is usually enough. A healthful diet with little saturated or trans fats or refined sugar and a good supply of fruits and vegetables is a good idea all the time, and perhaps even more important when you are taking in nutrients for two.

Type 2 diabetes is no longer a condition you must just live with. It need not slowly and inevitably get worse. If you have Gestational diabetes, take care with the type and amount of food you are eating. You can take back your health in order to prevent developing full-blown Type 2 diabetes..

For nearly 25 years Beverleigh Piepers has searched for and found a number of secrets to help you build a healthy body.

The answer isn't in the endless volumes of available information but in yourself.

Use of Corn Sugar Trigger Diabetes

Research has shown, the use of corn sugar (HFCS) as a sweetener processed foods and soft drinks affect the increase in the number of cases (prevalence) for type 2 diabetes. Research experts from the University of Southern California and the University of Oxford published journal Global Public Health stated, the high use of HFCS in one country can have implications for the increasing cases of type 2 diabetes.
drinks containing corn sugar

In the United States and other countries, the use of corn sugar or high-fructose corn syrup as a sweetener is common.
After conducting research in 42 countries, the researchers concluded that the prevalence of diabetes cases on average 20 percent higher in states that use HFCS as a sweetener, compared to countries that do not use HFCS.

Although it has not been able to demonstrate causal relationships are unclear, but the tendency of HFCS plays a role in increasing the risk of diabetes compared with other types of sugar.

"HFCS is one type of sugar that can cause health problems on a global scale," said one researcher Michael I. Goran, MD, director of the Childhood Obesity Research Center and co-director of the Institute for Diabetes and Obesity Research at the Keck School of Medicine at USC in a release. "The results of this study adds to the scientific references that indicate consumption of HFCS may be bad for health, and more dangerous than natural sugar."

HFCS is typically used as a sweetener in beverages and snacks, and other processed foods. Unlike glucose from natural sugar, the sweetness comes from fructose than HFCS. Its high content of fructose makes the body very easily turn into fat. That is because there are differences in the body metabolizes glucose and fructose. Therefore, consumption of fructose can be at risk obesity.

Type 2 diabetes, often associated with obesity, and is one of the diseases that cause of death worldwide. According to his research, Goran stated nearly 8 percent of people in the world could be suffering from diabetes by 2030 if consumption of HFCS is forwarded. Therefore, to prevent type 2 diabetes, you should immediately reduce the consumption of all forms of sugar and artificial sweeteners contained in beverages or snacks.

4 Ways to Avoid Excess Sugar

Soft drinks are loaded with sugars fructose know can affect appetite. Namely by affecting certain parts of the brain that regulates appetite. Therefore, fructose intake must be limited.

A study in 2002 published in the journal Neuroscience found that a diet high in sugar can cause memory loss in addition to lead to insulin resistance, which causes metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes.

Another study, in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 2001, found that people who got more than 25 percent of calories from sugar are twice as likely to have high levels of good cholesterol (HDL) levels.

It is a good idea to limit the excess sugar in our diet everyday because under the guidelines of the American Heart Association, we should get no more than 5 percent of the total calories we consume daily from added sugars.

Here are some tips to reduce sugar in your diet:

• Limit soft drinks and juices
Besides the obvious soft drinks contain a lot of added sugar, juice also need to reduce their consumption. Because often we drink fruit juice added a lot of sugar for a sweet cause. If you want to eat fruit juice, let the sweetness comes from the fruit without the need to add more sugar to it.

• Do not fully trust the food, "natural"
Just because something is "natural" does not mean it's not loaded with sugar. Honey, agave and maple syrup is an example. If you too believe, you will get excess fructose than your body needs. Just one tablespoon of honey contains about 17 grams of sugar.

• Be careful in the use of herbs
The tomato sauce is a source of sugar shock to most people. Because the raw material is highly acidic tomatoes, sugar is used to balance the flavors contributed.

• Always read the label
Corn sweeteners, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, fructose, sucrose and dextrose all it is a kind of sugar. Food ingredients in the order listed on food labels, so if high fructose corn syrup is the first ingredient listed, it means there is more sugar than other ingredients in a food or beverage.

Milk and Yogurt, Best for Bone Strength

Milk and yogurt, best for bone strength. Is the milk products you choose to strengthen your bones? From now on, you need to pick and choose milk products if the goal is to strengthen the bones. Because not all dairy products beneficial to improve bone health. In fact, there are some certain milk products are better in doing this.

A study conducted by researchers at the Institute for Aging Research at Hebrew SeniorLife in Boston found that milk and yogurt are the best products that can improve bone mineral density in the hip bone. But they found no evidence that the two types of products related to the density of the spine.

Approximately 44 million Americans have osteoporosis, bone disease caused by low bone density thus increasing the risk of fractures, especially the pelvis, spine, and wrist.

During this study, researchers analyzed data collected from about 3,200 men and women, aged 26 to 85. They asked the participants to fill out questionnaires that indicate they eat certain foods every week. The researchers also take into account if there are other factors such as smoking, consumption of calcium and vitamin D supplements, regular exercise, and menopause in women, as well as other factors that affect bone strength.

For 12 years the researchers followed the progress of these individuals and noted the 43 cases of hip fractures that occur. Because this number is very small, so the researchers were not able to take valid conclusions about the consumption of milk products and risk of fractures of their data, so that more research is needed.

Nevertheless, the findings published in the journal Archives of Osteoporosis This suggests that people who consume average 2.6 serving of milk, yogurt, and cheese every day had hip and spine bone density better than those who consume less.

Lead researcher Shivani Sahni, who also is an assistant researcher at the institute is suspected that a wide variety of nutrients in milk products - for example, calcium, protein and vitamin D - work in synergy and together provide a better effect than if nutrient this work alone.

Sugar and Milk Cause Acne

Sugar and milk cause acne. The results of the review of the clinical research in the last 50 years show a link between the diet and acne. Foods with a high glycemic index, such as those containing sugar and milk should be avoided.

Dietary factors as triggers of acne has been debated for more than a decade. In a recent study that analyzed the studies in the last 50 years found that foods with a high glycemic index and the milk was not just aggravate acne, but also in some cases trigger acne.

Acne is basically caused by a combination of factors, including the production of too much oil glands as well as the accumulation of dead skin cells that clog pores so there is a local infection in the skin.

Causes of excessive production of oil glands are caused by hormonal fluctuations. That's why 80 percent of acne problems experienced by adolescents in the age of puberty.

Although acne is not dangerous, but severe acne, including traces can trigger low self-esteem and depression.

Since the 19th century scientists have linked diet with acne. The food was regarded as the ringleader of acne include chocolate, sugar, and fat. However, two large studies in the period of the 1960s denied the claim.

"In this era of the dermatologists and nutritionists back to see the link between acne to diet. Fact there are trends in the form of acne therapy nutrition therapy," said Burris Dr.Jennifer Department of Nutrition and Food Studies, New York University.

Foods with a glycemic index (GI) high, which quickly raise blood sugar, is considered to have a direct effect on the progression of acne due to hormonal fluctuations trigger.

Foods with a high GI may increase the levels of hormones in the body, including insulin and stimulates the production of oil glands.

In 2007 study in Australia shows young men who run low-GI diet showed significant improvement in their acne.

Milk is considered an effect on acne because it contains hormones. 2007 study by a team from Harvard University shows there is a clear relationship between those who like to drink milk with the severity of acne.

Interestingly, those who choose low-fat milk instead have more severe acne. This is presumably because the process of making milk increased the levels of hormones in the product.

What Is Health Insurance

An Introduction

What is health insurance? Health insurance is a form of risk-mitigation which protects the buyer against unplanned medical expenses. Just like other insurance products, the buyer has to buy this product, usually by paying premiums, which in turn will "cover" the buyer against costs incurred due to pre-specified illnesses and medical conditions. Usually medical insurance is purchased privately, but in some countries and jurisdictions, the government may provide the citizens with health insurance or medical care.

History

The first modern health insurance product were made available in the 1850s when the railway and mining workers had the option of buying what was called accident insurance. The buyers were protected from costs incurred due to an accident while on work - which was quite hazardous for both railway-workers and miners. From such beginnings the modern health insurance arose - its affect can be seen in the prevalence of disability insurance, and from the fact that health insurance is referred to as disability insurance under California State law.

Terms

Here are some of the well known concepts and terms from the domain of Health Insurance:
  • Cover this is the maximum sum that the provider will provide for the wellness of the policy-holder.
  • Premium This is the sum that the policy-holder, who is the buyer, pays to the provider for the cover provided
  • Deductible This is the sum that the insured shall have to pay before the provider starts paying their expenses in a given year. This can be a flat sum, such as $500, which the insured would need to spend before they get any expenses covered. A related term is Co-Payment, which is the sum that is paid by the insured as part of a single visit to a doctor etc.
  • Exclusions There are diseases or services that are not covered by a particular insurance policy. The insured will have to pay for them completely out of their own pocket.
  • Comprehensive vs Scheduled Insurance Comprehensive plans pay for the medical costs for the insured after a deductible has been paid by them. These can cover catastrophic events as well as normal day-to-day expenses. In comparison, Scheduled Plans are a watered down insurance plans that only pay to a limited extent, and are usually supplemental to the comprehensive insurance plans.

All these will vary from plan to plan, and to know more about your plan, refer to the offer document.

Diabetes Is Not Curable, But Controllable. After becoming a diabetic, one of the scary and threatening questions of all patients is to know about the steps and measures to cure diabetes. There are many researchers and doctors claiming that the "cure" for diabetes is not yet found out. The reality is that, there is no a prescribed treatment for diabetes to cure permanently. It is a metabolism disorder in the body. This disorder leads to the improper functioning of insulin inside the body. The wide-spread attack of this trouble is even eating the health of small children. It is generally categorized as:
  1. Type 1 Diabetes (T1D)

There are several opportunities to cure people with T1D, such as:
  • Pancreatic transplantation
  • Islet cell transplantation
  • Artificial pancreas
  • Genetic manipulation

These methods adopted only with the approval of medical practitioner. These are almost risky and the condition about its cure is a matter of luck and god's grace.

To define T2D, is a disease which needs many changes adopted in the patient's lifestyle. It develops in the body due to resistance of pancreas to produce insulin. Thus, the body resists the passage of insulin and this may increase the glucose level inside your body. To control and prevent its complications, several changes in the lifestyle is strictly adopted. They are:
  1. Avoiding food which has more carbohydrates, refined sugar, processed food and dairy products.
  2. Drink more water in a day.
  3. Including protein rich and vegetables in the diet.
  4. Avoiding the usage of added fat and salt.
  5. Consume food that digests slowly. For example, Brown rice, oatmeal etc,.
  6. Test the sugar level in regular period and interval.
  7. Exercise at least five days in a weak.
  8. Take herbal remedies with the consult of your doctor.
  9. Include medicines for controlling the sugar level with the advice of the physician or a qualified medical practitioner.
  10. Exercises such as walking, swimming etc is good for the diabetics and resisting heart diseases.

Eating grape fruit is good for the diabetics. This is a good remedy for reducing and losing the weight of your body. Obesity is one of the big enemies of this disease. Thus by reducing the weight, the risk factor for getting this difficulty is less.

Likewise, cinnamon is also considered as a substitute of insulin. Cinnamon is ideal for fighting against diabetes.

Health Insurance

Nothing is more precious to us than having good health. Everyday people are getting more aware of the importance of having good health in order to be able to l8ive life to the fullest. But as the saying goes nothing is certain in this world, we will always have uncertainties and surprises good or bad in our life. We do get sick once in a while flu or even some major illness, or get ourselves involve in accidents. What ever the case may be these events when they happen to us could deplete our savings or even push us to bankruptcy. With the rising cost of hospital fees, laboratories and doctors' fees it is now expensive and complicated. This is where health insurance could benefit us all. Yes, health insurance may cost a lot but having no health insurance at all cost more. Medical bills incurred from an accident could burn a hole in your savings. And in cases of cancer treatments, with all the doctors' check ups, laboratory tests, and chemotherapy that one has to go through it could ruin you financially.

Health insurance could help you pay for the cost of a regular medical check ups, surgeries, contact lenses and glasses and even emergency treatments. There are two basic kinds of health insurance plan, the indemnity plan and the managed care plan. Indemnity plan is also called the fee for service plan. It has wider freedom and flexibility in the choices of the insured. He gets to pick the doctor, hospital and laboratory and other medical service provider of his choice. As long as the medical service is included in the health contract. But, the catch is the plan doesn't pay for the entire charges, instead the insured shoulders the 20 % of the payment. This kind of plan covers only illnesses and accidents but preventive care like flu shots and birth control are not included. And coverage of the cost of prescription drugs and psychotherapy will depend on the policy and the company.

Managed Care Health insurance differs from the indemnity plan in a lot of ways. First, choice of doctors, hospitals, laboratories and other medical service provider is

limited to only those who have contracts with the HMO -Health Maintenance Organization--.Medical services is received only if authorized by the plan. If you insist on engaging on non authorized medical service provider then the cost of service or care provided will not be paid by the company. Preventive care and mental health treatment are covered by the plan.

Due to the rising demands for better and wider health insurance coverage, the health insurance is offering hybrid plans. Wherein, they combine the benefits of HMOs and indemnity coverage. The method is you can use the network of medical service providers that have contracts with the HMO but you are allow to choose someone outside of the network and pay for a higher percentage in the fee.. Managed Care plan also allows open access theory, where one can see a network medical specialist without any referrals from HMO.

You need to decide carefully in choosing the right health insurance plan for you and your family needs. You need to have a careful evaluation on what your family needs and extensive research for the right health insurance company that will provide for those needs. Keep in mind that the lowest premiums don't really mean it's the cheapest plan. Remember the cheapest plan is the policy that will give you the best benefits that your family really needs in case of emergencies and illnesses.

Asbestos lung cancer

Asbestos lung cancer. Doctor appointments are critical to make sure you're staying in proper health. However, exposure to asbestos presents an added urgency for routine appointments. Because asbestos related diseases take decades to form, early detection is critical for proper treatment. People who have jobs in industries like construction, shipbuilding and manufacturing are particularly susceptible of contracting these conditions.

Even with the best screening techniques available today mesothelioma often can escape diagnosis. The best thing to do is get screened early and consistently, especially if you had exposure to asbestos. Medical technology has breakthroughs every day and eventually a cure will be found. However, until then, the victims of mesothelioma should take action against those responsible. Contact a lawyer in your state today so you can receive compensation for your suffering.

The affected areas from mesothelioma cancer are the lining of the internal organs in the body. Because of the location of the infected cells, mesothelioma does not respond well to conventional treatments unlike most other forms of cancer. In addition, there are no blatant symptoms of the disease, so doctors cannot properly diagnose the illness until it's significantly advanced. Because of these factors, the effectiveness of many conventional treatments are limited.

When treating mesothelioma, doctors use several treatment options. Surgery, radiation treatments and chemotherapy have been traditional options for slowing the growth of cancerous cells. Doctors dealing with mesothelioma have to plan an innovative method of attack to combat this condition. New treatments like angiogenesis, photodynamic and gene therapy hold new hope for victims of mesothelioma everywhere. Depending on the state and location of the cancer, doctors will choose the best course of action for the circumstances. If it's discovered early enough, doctors can prolong the life of the victim, but sadly cannot cure the disease.

The three main types of malignant mesotheliomas are epithelioid, sarcomatoid and mixed/biphasic. Epithelioid is the most common kind as around 50-70% of all mesothelioma cases reported are this type. Epithelioid also has the best chances of survival. It affects the internal organs and internal surfaces coverings. Sarcomatoid is a much more serious condition as it affects the secondary tissues in the body such as cartilage, muscles, bone and fat. However, this cancer is much rarer, as it only occurs 7-20% of the time. Mixed/biphasic is having both types of the cancer at once, and this makes up 20-35% of the occurrences.

There are three targeted areas that mesothelioma can affect. Pleural mesothelioma affects the pleural cavity around the lungs and is responsible for a majority 75% of all cases diagnosed. Peritoneal mesothelioma accounts for 10-20% of all cases and affects the tissues in the abdomen (especially the stomach and intestines). Pericardial mesothelioma is the rarest form which affects the sac and lining surrounding the heart.

"Maintaining and managing wound using modern science can help improve the quality of life of tens of thousands of patients with diabetes Indonesia," he said in a seminar entitled "Wound Management Innovation: Development of technologies, equipment and therapies and clinical applications' organized by the Australian Embassy in Jakarta , Wednesday (02/20/2013).

Upton in that event also introduces the latest technology-based biotechnology for treating wounds is the result of research with more than 40 other researchers. This technology is called VitroGro - ECM technology that is innovative wound healing therapy that involves various types of disciplines including biomedical sciences, chemistry, mathematics, information technology, and other clinical sciences. Principles of VitroGro - ECM matrix technology that stimulates cells to grow and migrate with a layer of some kind of protein.

"Results from a clinical trial of VitroGro-ECM on the wound incurable showed promising results that wound closed perfectly with scars minimized," said Upton.

Chronic Wound pose a major challenge for the health care system to be healed. According to Upton, treatment with conventional methods requires huge cost. Therefore, with this technology, Upton hopes to wound management becomes more cost effective. "In addition, patients will be more comfortable considering the technology is relatively painless in the patient's body," he said.

Other studies in vitro by culturing fat cells, said Fatchiyah, indicating inhibition of adipogenesis (fat cells start the process turn into mature fat cells) and increased apoptosis (programmed cell death) by treatment with Epigallocatechin Gallate / EGCG 200 (catechin in tea leaves) . To clarify the role of the inhibition of adipogenesis cathechin this, research conducted by Ferdowsi followed by analysis "in silico" which shows the catechins inhibit IGF-1R, but not the protein IGF-1.

"The results of this study indicate that black tea makers have potential as preventive therapy of bioactive natural to reduce obesity," she said.

Obesity is a condition of excess body fat tissue mass caused by the body's metabolic abnormalities that may increase the risk of multiple systems on human morbidity, such as hypertension, heart disease, stroke, coronary heart disease, depression, and lack of confidence.

How Do You Get Diabetes?

4 foods you should stop eating right now

Whether you're a diet-conscious person or someone who wants to get into the habit of healthy eating, there are certain foodstuffs you shouldn't touch if you want to achieve your goal of staying fit! We list a few...

Soda

Did you know, soda is loaded with empty calories from high fructose corn syrup? What's more, you should stop drinking soda, because it is known to contribute to obesity and is also likely to increase the risk of diabetes and high-blood pressure in people.

White bread

Made out of maida, white bread is unhealthy because it is, quite literally, bleached! So this process not only rids the bread of its flavour but also of all its essential nutrients. So instead of white bread, opt for a wholesome, whole grain or brown bread for your sandwiches.

Whole dairy

Of course, dairy and dairy products are good for your health, but whole-fat dairy is full of fat and cholesterol. So always choose low-fat dairy and its products, which has all the nutrients you need.

Fast foods

The amount of calories one fast food meal contains is almost equal to the amount of calories one must consume in the entire day! While some of these calories come from protein, most come from the sugar (of the soda) and the fat (usually the burger and fries!) in the food.

Don't Ignore Vitamin D

8 Secrets the Healthiest People in The World

Don't Ignore Vitamin D

As residents of a tropical country, Indonesia should not be deficient in vitamin D. The sun being the main source of ultraviolet rays that make vitamin D beta so vitamin is abundant in the archipelago.

However, increasing the number of buildings in the hustle and bustle of big cities make a lot of kids tend to lose a nutritious morning sunlight. They had to leave before the sun rises to avoid congestion and not many open spaces to play in the home and school environment.

In the big cities, especially in the middle-class safety and environmental concerns make their children are rarely allowed to play outside the house. When the weekend was a lot more kids are invited to the mall, there are also available especially playing facilities.

efficacy large

In fact, the efficacy of vitamin D so extraordinary. A study published in December in the journal Dermato-Endocrinology mentioned, vitamin D helps reduce the risk of developing autism.

Research in several states of the United States took place in 2010 in children aged 6-17 years with varying levels of autism prevalence. Apparently, in those states that many irradiated ultraviolet beta, only half of the cases of autism states that limited summer.

It is not surprising that concerns about vitamin D deficiency continues to increase, particularly those not exposed to the sun all year round. November a month vigilance even vitamin D and various studies conducted with surprising results.

Professor Mitch Blair of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK, December writing in BBC News that half of the number of children and 90 percent of the adult multiethnic population living in the UK are deficient in vitamin D.

Vitamin D deficiency is known to be associated closely with the emergence of a variety of health problems in children and adults, such as diabetes, tuberculosis, multiple sclerosis, and rickets: bone disorders that are often found in poor children in the UK.

In New Zealand a lot bathed in sunlight, there Massey University who examined the vitamin D status of children with funding from the Health Research Council of the country. Children aged 2-4 years were recruited during August and September 2012 to see the correlation of vitamin D adequacy with respiratory disorders, skin diseases such as eczema, and allergies.

Research in New Zealand is also important to measure the sun's role in formation of vitamin D because almost all foods in the country are still free from the fortification of vitamin D. Although vitamin D is also found in some foods such as oily fish, eggs, and mushrooms, whereof only 10 percent of the recommendation for adequate intake.

Vitamin D is classified as a steroid hormone production and metabolism lasted just when the skin is exposed to ultraviolet light beta. Throughout three decades, vitamin D deficiency is associated with various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, autoimmunity, and diabetes. However, researchers at Massey University also proved that vitamin D deficiency can lead to insulin resistance which raises diabetes mellitus type 2.

intervention efforts

According to Professor Mitch Blair, efforts to overcome the deficiency of vitamin D should be done in various ways, ranging from providing vitamin D supplements are widely and cheaply to vitamin D fortification in various foods and beverages.

The results of the study Professor Marlena Kruger, still from Massey University, which took place in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Manila, Philippines, during the year 2007-2008, showed that fortification of vitamin D deficiency is significantly reduced.

In this study, post-menopausal women respondents were asked to drink milk that has been fortified with vitamin D, magnesium, and zinc, whereas respondents drank a placebo containing only control serum parathyroid hormone. Vitamin D levels were measured before and after respondents intervention.

As published in the scientific journal Bone volume 46, March 2010, the results showed that women who drank milk fortified vitamin D deficiency decreases it. In Indonesian women, deficiency dropped from 70 percent to 22 percent and in women in the Philippines dropped from 20 percent to 0 percent. Milk fortified with vitamin D, magnesium, and zinc also successfully increased levels of osteocalcin in the eighth week from 18 percent to 25 percent. Procollagen type I N-propeptide (PINP) also increased in the eighth week from 15 percent to 21 percent.

Both these compounds play a role in bone formation. That is, drink milk regularly, especially those who have fortified-help strengthen bones and prevent osteoporosis.

need socialization

Therefore, the socialization role of vitamin D is important. Although Indonesia gets sun most of the year, the above results indicate that there are still many people who have vitamin D deficiency, especially women.

So, first of all people need to understand the role of vitamin D, the impact if any shortfall, and then ways to get adequate vitamin D. The health workers, including health educators, nurses, and doctors, must understand the symptoms of vitamin D deficiency and how to overcome them.

From an early age, children should also be encouraged to move out of the room. Therefore, the presence of open space that is safe and comfortable to be important for beta ultraviolet blessing is not in vain.
